What makes Theresa Blair soaps different from store-bought soap? Our soaps are made in small batches using the traditional cold-process method with real, skin-loving ingredients like nourishing oils and butters. Unlike most commercial soaps that contain harsh detergents and synthetic fillers.

Are your soaps truly natural? Yes. We focus on simple, real ingredients with no harsh chemicals, sulfates, or unnecessary junk. Every bar is crafted with care to support natural beauty and healthy skin. (We avoid making medical claims — our soaps simply clean and nourish.)

Do you use lye in your soaps? Yes, like all true bar soaps, we use lye (sodium hydroxide) during the making process. However, once the soap cures, no lye remains — it simply turns the oils into gentle soap. This is the traditional way real soap has been made for centuries.

How long does a bar of soap last? A standard bar typically lasts 4–8 weeks with daily use, depending on how you use it and whether you keep it dry between washes. For best results, use a soap dish that drains well so the bar doesn’t sit in water.

How should I store my handmade soap? Keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct water streams. A well-draining soap dish helps it last longer and prevents it from becoming mushy.

Where are your soaps made? All our soaps are handmade by me in small batches right here in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

What is the return or exchange policy? Because each bar is handmade just for you, we don’t accept returns. However, if your soap arrives damaged or you’re truly unhappy with it, please contact us within 14 days and we’ll make it right.

Can you ship? We currently deliver our handmade soaps locally in Lea County, New Mexico only. If you’re outside Lea County and would like us to ship your order, please contact us first. We’ll check shipping options and get back to you as soon as possible.

Are your ingredients cruelty-free? Yes — we never test on animals and choose suppliers that align with that value.

Can I use your soap on my face? Many customers do! Our gentle formulas are great for face and body, but if you have very sensitive or acne-prone skin, start slowly and see how your skin responds.
